December 27, 2016 - Paul Gelineau (Sandan) and Phil Matcovich (Sandan) will host a Judo seminar and testing on Nage No Kata on Wednesday, January 18th from 6:00 - 8:30. This will be held at the Vermont Aikido Dojo, where we have our regular classes. All are welcome and it is recommended that all Yudansha consider attending. The fee will be $10 at the door.

December 12, 2016 - On December 10th, a contingent from our club when down to our parent club, Cohoes Judo, to attend a seminar by Senseis Pete Andres and Terry Sharp. Attending from Aki No Kure were Justis Kieth, Dustin Burso, Etsuro Nishiyachi and Phil Matcovich.

November 14, 2016 - On Saturday , December 10th, there will be going down to Cohoes, NY for a joint workout with the Cohoes Judo Club. It is the parent club for both Aki No Kure and Midori Yama. So far, Josef, Phil, Paul, Etsuro and Dustin are going. If you would also like to go, please see Phil.

March 12, 2016 - It is desirable to have our club members registered with at least one of the national judo organizations. This is required if you want to complete at tournaments. March 12, 2016 - The 2015 Tri-State Championships, were held Saturday, March 5th at UNH. Thomas Kourkoulis went 0-3-0 and Dylan Gates, 2-2-0. It was noted that they both played "Good Judo". Congratulations to Thomas and Dlyan!

March 11, 2016 - While our club is run entirely by volunteers, we still have to pay the rent. Our dues are: Monthly $40, Per Class $6. Students, Au Pairs and Vermont Aikido members, no charge. Dues can be given to Dustin or Pete.

January 17, 2016 - We are pleased to announce that Sensei Mark will resume as Coach of the UVM Midori Yama Judo club and teach one class per weeek. The way this is sugaring out is that Mark will take Thursday, Pete will
switch to Tuesdays. Tim will help out as needed. Tim and Pete will have a joint class this Tuesday for the handover.
We would like to thank Pete and Tim for doing a great job in keeping the Midori Yama club operating and welcome Sensei Mark back.
