August 27, 2010 - The Judo Kata seminar with Janet Johnson, Godan (5th degree black belt) was held on Saturday, August 21th. The fine points of Nage No Kata and Katame No Kata were explored under Janet's guidance for six hours. At the dinner afterward, she was presented with a pewter vase, as a token of respect and gratitude from the club. Janet also invited us to the Kata Seminar/Promotional in February. April 20, 2010 - We will be extending the Monday night class to include Kata. This portion of the class will be from 5:30 to 6:30. There will be a $5 mat fee for participating. This will start on Monday, April 26th. A website that appears to be a good referance is IJF KATA WORLD CUP 2008. All are welcome to attend. |
