November 21, 2007 - Catamount Brazilian Jui Jutsu is hosting the 3rd annual UVM Open Tournament. It will be held on Saturday, December 1st, starting at 10:30 AM, in the Mann Hall Gym on the Trinity Campus of UVM, in Burlington, Vermont. This contest is Gi only, double elimination. Fees are; participants $48, spectators $5.

October 20, 2007 - Peter Buttino and Mike McGaugh passed their gokyu tests (green belt) at the Saturday night class on October 7th. Peter and Mike were uke for each other and Shomen consisted of Josef Roubal (nidan), Etsuro Nishiyachi (nidan) and Phil Matcovich (nidan) and Tim Blake (shodan). Congratulations Pete and Mike!

September 30, 2007 - Vermont Open Grappling Championship will be held on Saturday, November 3rd at the Winooski Education Center Arena. See Phil Matcovich for more information.

September 26, 2007 - O Sensi Phil Porter will be having a Judo seminar at the Martial Way this Thursday, September 27th at 6:30. The fee is $60.00 and it is probably a good idea to get there a little early. These are always interesting.

August 21, 2007 - Etsuro Nishiyachi passed his Nidan (2nd degree black belt) examination at the Kin Tora Judo Club in Buffalo, NY on August 18th. Phil Matcovich was his uke and Shomen consisted of the Niagara Yudanshakai board. Congratulations Etsuro!

August 20, 2007 - Dustin Bruso has graciously assumed the duties of Treasure for the club. He will be in charge of all financial matters, such as they are. Congratulations Dustin!

June 2, 2007 - Tim Blake participated the the
AmCans, held in Amherst, NY, last weekend. He brought home a Third place in the 40+, 73kg division. Congratulations Tim!
